UAE Citizens to Benefit from Expedited US Entry Under 'Global Entry' Program

The UAE Ministry of Interior has announced the launch of the implementation process for Emirati citizens to join the United States’ 'Global Entry' program, following an agreement between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The agreement was signed during the official visit of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the United States in September, and represents a key step in strengthening bilateral relations.

The 'Global Entry' program is a US Customs and Border Protection initiative designed to provide expedited entry for approved travelers. By joining this program, Emirati citizens will be able to benefit from faster processing when arriving in the United States for tourism, business, or personal visits. The program allows participants to use dedicated transit gates at US airports, reducing waiting times and facilitating a more seamless travel experience.

The UAE’s inclusion in the 'Global Entry' program highlights the close cooperation and mutual trust between the two nations, while also acknowledging the UAE’s high standing on the global stage. The initiative simplifies travel procedures, giving UAE citizens smoother entry access at more than 75 designated ports of entry in the United States.

To participate, eligible UAE citizens must apply through the official website at https://ttp.dhs.gov/ and complete a security background check. Once approved, travelers can use automated verification kiosks at US airports, further minimizing the time spent at immigration checkpoints. Nevertheless, all participants must still carry a valid entry visa for the United States, as program membership does not replace visa requirements.
