Oman Post has been awarded the prestigious Gold Certification in Postal Security by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), a specialised United Nations agency, in recognition of its unwavering commitment to global best practices in secure and reliable postal and logistics services.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the UPU headquarters in Bern, Switzerland. Masahiko Metoki, Director General of the UPU, conferred the certification, which was received on behalf of Oman Post by Nasr bin Badr Albusaidi, Vice President of Postal, Retail, and Customer Experience Services.
Oman Post expressed immense pride in achieving this milestone, highlighting that the certification underscores its position as a leader in the postal and logistics sector. "This recognition reaffirms our dedication to security and excellence, further strengthening our role in delivering world-class services," the company stated.
The Universal Postal Union, established 150 years ago, serves as the primary global platform for cooperation among postal services. Since becoming part of the United Nations in the mid-20th century, the UPU has spearheaded initiatives that align with international development goals, supporting the advancement of secure and efficient postal networks worldwide.
