Egyptian Member of Parliament Essam Diab has called upon Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Communications Minister Amr Talaat to impose a ban on the social media platform TikTok, citing threats to societal and family values. In a statement on Facebook, Diab described the app as a source of "debauchery and obscenity" that endangers Egyptian identity and ethics.
